This post will be very photo heavy because… well I haven’t updated my ‘photography journey’ for a while. I have been playing and getting to grips with various things, playing with bees, water and the moon and anything else that catches my eye. I also visited an aquarium recently and that was VERY tricky, however I do remember a time where the flash on my point and shoot would have made all shots useless so I guess my efforts are a lot better than that at least (I’ll get that post up with pictures this week).
So this weekend was the Bristol Balloon Fiesta which was very exciting, I’ve already written a post about the opening night, but this morning I decided to get up at the crack of dawn and watch the early morning ascent. It was tough, I am not going to lie, I am not a morning person. But I found myself watching the glorious balloons floating over the Bristol sky and started shooting, alongside many families, runners and photographers of course. And here is what I captured-
There are a lot of balloons there sorry! I did use Photoshop to enhance these slightly but overall I just adjusted the settings to light conditions and shot. The last couple of the bridge and hover fly were an after thought but I like them.
I’m so glad I got up early to check out the Sunday morning ascent and I will definitely go again next year.
